Yeah, yeah, we know there are tons of songs for Guitar Hero, but some of us might have unusual tastes and want a song that's not currently available.

Custom songs for guitar hero are a way to play any song that you want in your favorite guitar hero game. Why not some Jazz Guitar Hero Songs, or some Soul Guitar Hero Songs? It can be done, but unlike the custom songs on Guitar Hero World Tour, these custom songs have to be synched to the music file. Custom guitar hero songs must be done on a modified ps2, wii, or they can be done with the pc version of Guitar Hero 3. The console systems must be modded to play the burned disc with the custom songs. Modding a console (installing a mod chip or using swap magic discs) is only legal if the modder owns an original copy of the burned guitar hero game they are playing.

 

Modding chips and making your own custom songs is not for the faint-hearted. But after reading this, if you're just sure you gotta have some music not currently available for Gutiar Hero I, II, III, World Tour, Rocks the 80's, Aerosmith or Metallica, then you might look into this. Jazz songs for Guitar Hero, anyone? How about some Miles Davis or Maynard Ferguson? Funk or soul? How about some Tower of Power or Earth Wind & Fire? If you're brave, daring and adventurous, it CAN be done!
